Book Design

So, now we've done all the basic chores listed on the Getting Started page... we've dotted the "i"s and crossed the "t"s... it's time to get to work on your book!

Book Editing

Professional editing makes all the difference to your book. We will review the book and make corrections in grammar, usage, spelling, syntax, style, capitalization and punctuation. We will also review the overall content, making any needed suggestions to enhance your book.

Layout Design

Page design includes details such as the font and style of the chapter titles and the main text, or the use of drop caps and small graphic symbols throughout the book. The font chosen helps to create a readable, coherent, and visually satisfying whole that works invisibly, without the awareness of the reader. Such details are vital to the design of your book. Images will be sized and placed where they will give the most impact and continuity.

Cover Design

Key elements must be present in your book's cover for it to be properly distributed such as an ISBN, EAN bar code, title, author name and publisher logo. Our designers will work with you to develop cover design concepts that do justice to the quality of the content and that reflect the message you would like to convey. You may choose to submit your own artwork for the cover, which we will then adjust to fit your book size.

Galley Proofs

Once we've completed the steps above, we will send you an electronic proof for your approval. As soon as you return the proof to us, we'll make any revisions you request and, if necessary, send you a second proof. This process will continue until you approve all content within your book. Once you have approved the proof and cover, your book is ready for publishing!
